My personal experience

My biggest sensation was literally arriving at my huge company workplace and not feeling utterly overwhelmed, not being stopped by the blockages I normally experienced. The sensation was that I could honour and therefore access my clear mind, the strength of that clarity and therefore I noticeably became able to really connect with co-employees.
I started to make eye contact with people I was communicating with, without avoiding any connection, traces of intimacy, even.
Also, I could go into unfamiliar communities without switching into the flight and fight mode, moreover enjoying public gatherings.
Tools like TM are of utmost importance to help feel in control of our responses and so build up emotional resilience.

The general benefit of TM - is an ongoing stress-release, whatever the circumstances, one finds oneself in.

My mind - set

I don’t wish for people to get fanatic about TM, like a saviour outside of themselves, but that it becomes a tool to feel safe within and trust in your own ability to manage everything you experience as best as you can. Self-recognition and self-validation are just some gentle rewards.
That’s when the world starts to open up, not being imprisoned in one’s own automated cage of our own world any longer. That’s, when you not only create space but let help in. You start to feel your feelings, without attaching sensations and feelings to thought forms of our emotions.

Long term benefits - Balance in life

TM helps us to DETACH from the thinking process of our emotions and allows feelings to become just that. Cocooned in meditation you follow your own mantra and feel peace – bliss even – detaching from the common response to feeling overwhelmed. This might sound like another way of escapisms but in truth, it is arriving in a cocoon/space of safety, where one is free, to simply breathe, and to simply be.
The benefit that comes out of it is not feeling bliss DURING the meditation but a sense of clear calm that stays on AFTER the meditation and you learn to get back to that state of serenity more quickly and more frequently – of course also through the ongoing practice of TM.
