So How to Do Autism Well?

BECOMING YOUR OWN POWERHOUSE

Simply by stating I’m autistic and accepting it, how would it change my life as a whole? Self-acceptance is a profound and expansive topic, unfolding in layers upon layers. We all must confront it at some point, whether on the spectrum or not. Self-exploration to understand what Autism means for us as individuals—that’s the task. Now, I don’t know about you, but I never got an instruction manual for my personality. Apparently, it comes pre-loaded with character traits – hugely typical ones, no less.
With every reading session, I experienced “aha” moments and smiles of recognition, akin to connecting with a character in a book or movie for a fleeting moment.
Delving into blogs and journals about masking, coaching, and therapy, I found valuable insights inviting us on similar journeys. Yet, I remained unconvinced they would lead to genuine connections.
I felt a crucial element was missing—a roadmap to reconnect.

But as they say, what you seek, seeks you—RECONNECT.

One can’t truly approach what the well-being industry offers, especially concerning autism. The time spent in masking is staggering. Stripping away the layers to confront the aggression and sadness stemming from not authentically being oneself is daunting. Relishing the journey of searching for one’s long-lost blueprint requires a pillar of support, something and somebody to lean on, something to trust, which can’t come from external sources alone.
My thoughts and emotions were often overpowering, leaving me feeling hopeless. I had to delve in and cut through the myriad of inner noise. Without controlling the adrenaline induced by the sensations of feelings and thoughts, I would have been powerless.
In Meditation, your Mantra becomes your guide.
It will filter out frustration, powerlessness, and the fear of being trapped inside. Your instinct will assure you that you can trust this. You can go with it, and peace will gradually blossom within. …
…returning to your heart with half a litre less adrenaline coursing through your brain.
The aim is for you to finally achieve independence, becoming your own powerhouse. Once you experience this moment, it marks the true beginning of what you truly desire: self-acceptance. Until this moment, everything will be tied to external guidance, and you won’t truly be free.”

In Re-Connection

It’s a testament to the courage required to confront our true selves and embrace them wholeheartedly.
Reconnection is a monumental aspect of reclaiming oneself. It serves as the cornerstone to well-being, yet when it involves shedding years of camouflage, it requires mastery. Peeling off these masks is undoubtedly challenging, but with the right tools and approach, the process becomes more manageable.
While discussions are essential, solely talking about it may prolong the journey indefinitely.
For me, working on my mindset and beliefs surrounding acceptance became a daily practice, as natural as taking a breath. I embarked on a profound exploration of my soul, seeking to maintain a sense of authenticity amidst the chaos. Reconnection Healing became my prayer, meditation my sanctuary, and Theta Healing a swift eraser for outdated belief systems.
It entails bravely reclaiming long-lost presence in our bodies, and fearlessly exploring the depths of our being through genuine acceptance.
It’s a testament to the courage required to confront our true selves and embrace them wholeheartedly.
