Rewiring &
Neuroplasticity

Give a chance to your brain to lead you to the life you always wanted

What is neuroplasticity?

The term “Neuroplasticity” refers to your brain’s ability to restructure or “Rewire” itself when it recognises the need for adaptation. In other words, it can continue developing and changing throughout life.
“Neurons that fire together, wire together” by forming new synapses or more efficiently connecting the ones that are already there.
ASD, ADD, ADHD.. all colours of the spectrum can participate in the arena of neuroplasticity and they will have the capacity to reorganise, rewire themselves in an adequate environment provided.
Naturally, a neurodiverse brain also can be rewired! This has nothing to do with any belief system, it is (neuro) potential that lives within our own brain.

During the day your synapses strengthen and widen as you go through experiences.
As you sleep your brain will prune those that have been left to weaken through disuse.

New desire needs
new connections.

Why does our brain shrink? - sort of

A process called synaptic pruning is a completely natural process of the brain to reset itself.
Synapses are part of your nervous system; they are constructions in the brain that allow neurons to transmit electrical or chemical signals to another neuron. Many synapses are developed during infancy. This ignition of brain development is vital for your early life learning, adaptation and memory development. This way our brain becomes an electric fuse box, if there are too many switches and wires plugged in it becomes overcharged.
To avoid this, the brain literally sheds old, weak synapses to make room for higher quality connections, optimising our neurological network to avoid overgrowth, which support more complex mental functions and streamline your neural circuits.
That process allows the brain to be “plastic”, meaning more formable.

In an autistic brain..

In autistic individuals this synaptic pruning process happens to a far lesser degree, meaning a lot of these “redundant” connections remain intact.

The consequences of synaptic growth and pruning is key in developing personality. When there is a lack of synaptic growth or lack of pruning in different brain areas it could lead to disorders, mental illnesses and overcharging and oversensitivity.

Revitalisation of the brain

When a brain gets healthier, more plastic, more coherent, it also balances all the adrenaline, serotonin, dopamine and other hormones which is vital to reach a supporting environment for correcting the glitch in the pruning process.
In a less adrenalin-driven, less overcharged environment even the very basic procedures of the brain have the chance to revitalise themselves. It can help to grow new pathways, which can lead to a stronger cortex, and it can lead to new behavioural strategies, more control, to a new mind-body balance.

Our brain is a magnificent organ, which, with the right support will help to rebuild itself.

Nothing happens overnight and years of lack of pruning also won’t disappear just with the flick of a switch but it will start in a couple of months of persistent practice of meditation….

More coherence,

more life,

more potential.

Brainwave coherence

The number of studies showing various benefits of practising meditation is growing.

These collections of studies are just a fraction of the amount that are proving that Transcendental Meditation is outstanding in terms of stress reduction and reaching a high level of brainwave coherence.

Findings suggest that practising Transcendental Meditation could be helpful in treating different kinds of disorders, especially anxiety disorders.
